[Question] How do I update Forge?

I want to install a mod that uses a newer version of forge #534 (currently: #517)

How do i update forge? I tried to copy it in the modpack.jar but that resulted in a grey screen at sturtup. Copying it to /mods makes no sense and doesn't work either.

Do you guys have any ideas?

edit: I'M using Tekkit lite 0.5.7
