An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I have all the mods for my modpack ready and would like to upload it but how?
Niavmai Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Make an account at technicpack.net. It's fairly simple from there. As of right now, registrations are down, so you'll have to wait a bit.
An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 I have the account but I just don't know how to do it...my brain wont allow it...can you please explain to me?
Niavmai Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Well do you have a modpack already uploaded to a host?
An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 uhh no. by host do you mean like mediafire or dropbox?
Niavmai Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 uhh no. by host do you mean like mediafire or dropbox? Yes. Upload it to one of those. Go to platform, click Create Pack, name it, etc. Then go to your modpacks, and edit in the link.
An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 alright thanks...one more question..when I upload it is it in a zip file?
Niavmai Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 alright thanks...one more question..when I upload it is it in a zip file? Yes. The same way as you would make a custom pack with the previous launcher.

Niavmai Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 can you help me.....how am I sopposed to upload the file in zip? rar? and what files in it...all I know is that when I put the folden in my .technic it works I dunno how mediafire works. Use dropbox. Get the download link and change 'www' to 'dl'.
An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 alright and then if it does work. in the launcher when you click add new mod pack and you paste in the link then it sais choose a new directory...how do you make it automatic and put it in your .technic folder like it does for tekkit lite voltz, classi ect.
Niavmai Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 alright and then if it does work. in the launcher when you click add new mod pack and you paste in the link then it sais choose a new directory...how do you make it automatic and put it in your .technic folder like it does for tekkit lite voltz, classi ect. It's already automatic.
An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 alright well ill take your word on that and before I upload the file to dropbox what need to be inside the file? because im not sure im doing it right
DragonRX Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Basically its a zip consisting of folders it will drop in the base directory of the "mudpack". So you put stuff in folders that are already existent and they will then auto put files/mods into what u have already in the mod directory. Sorry if my explanation wasnt very good.
An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 im sorry if this isn't allowed if not just tell me and I will delete it but if anyone please can tell me if this zip will work..it has all the mod pack files in there http://www.mediafire.com/?ap4peybvm057d73 th name of the pack is planet lite so yea xD
DragonRX Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 First off you need to add it to something that will auto download files from a certain link such as dropbox.com
freakachu Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 the structure looks fine, though I'd get rid of the temp directory as it is not needed and you really don't want to have every person download a 100+ meg file. you'll run out of bandwidth pretty fast so anything you can do to bring that down is good. also, minecraft.jar is in there, which is a bad thing.
An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 alright give me like 10 minutes to upload and fix files and ill let you know if it works
An=Dr3z Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Alright now check this one out https://www.dropbox.com/s/s2pyw4pprmapor2/planet-lite%201.0.zip?m
freakachu Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 that link still goes to a page to download the file, not the file itself directly. edit: filesize is better though.
DragonRX Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Freakachu is it no longer required to upload our own minecraft.jar with forge injected into it? Off Topic: I really like your avatar picture :)
Cheap Shot Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Icewolf is creating a guide for using the Platform I believe. I'll let you know when it's up.
