How to add plugins to a Tekkit Classic server?

I purchased a simple 20 slot (may upgrade) MineCraft server, and TS3 I am running Tekkit Classic, I'm an op and know LUA, some basic basic java, and a bit of yaml. Now, I heard Tekkit now supports most CraftBukkit plugins? Is that serious? My question, is if the classic server is an old 1.2.5 R4.1 Mine craft, will the new 1.5.0 addons/plugins work? How do I add plugins to a TRUE dedicated Tekkit server?

EDIT1: Why not just update classic to 1.5.0 and ??? Profit? Yea, I don't think a 1.5.0 Tekkit Classic exist.

I highly doubt they will work as CB and MC have changed many times since then

Classic 1.5.0 does not and will not exist as Classic is no longer being updated

If you want more up-to-date Bukkit support alongside Forge you will have to do it yourself
