Access Denied

A peculiar situation has arisen. Yesterday, I was using the technic launcher as usual and got off to go to bed. Everything was fine. Today, I get home and try to launch the technic launcher and get this error

An Error occurred while starting the application.

 

Access is denied.

Any help? Thanks

Are you running it in admin mode? Sounds like your OS has gone wonky on the launcher.

Hmmm... I just realized I had turned my Anti-virus/firewall (COMODO) off. Upon switching it back on, the launcher works fine! I find this strange. Do you?

I am new to this forum and I have an error. I try to start tekkit Classic and it says this message: Error retrieving info for selected modpack: tekkit. I delete the tekkit launcher files and try to start off as if im reinstalling everything, but it doesnt work. any help?

Try right clicking and running as admin. If you haven't downloaded the latest launcher in a while do so and replace whatever version you had. If that doesn't work, just leave it alone and try later. Check the facebook and twitter for updates. Our servers are under a lot of stress from how massively popular Platform is, so it's possible that's the issue. Might just have to wait in line so to speak. We're working constantly on it.
