Add a mod?

I want to add infinite lava (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/857933-144-ssp-infinite-lava/) to tekkit lite. I tried placing the rar file (zip? not sure it all has the rar icon for me haha) in the mods folder but no effect, tried adding the .class to minecraft.jar and modpack.jar of tekkit lite but it goes to a white screen on launch.

anyone know how to add a .class mod?

I think that mod's outdated, so it probably won't work.

it's only one .class file though, works with vanilla 1.5

Looked at it again. It overwrites a .class file, and so does Forge. Only problem is, it isn't compatible with Forge. It might work with no mods, but it won't work if you have anything else which affects the lava class, such as Forge. If you want it, you probably won't be able to get it working with many other mods.
