benny290 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 hi i need help setting up a non hamachi server for my youtube channel. Two requirements, firstly the server will be based in the uk but needs to allow a person from the usa to join and secondly it needs to work on mac. Please help! Thanks
nedned2k Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 What you need to do, is look up how to "Port Forward". This is basically allowing other computers to access your network. Then you need to download the server files from the Technicpack Website, run the server, an people should be able to join to your External IP Address. This should, in theory, run fine on a mac, and someone from the USA will be able to connect fine to a UK server, though there might be a little bit of server lag. Edit:
Ysharma Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Port forwarding may not work if he has a static ip. use noip
