HELP PLEASE

Firstly i want to apologize if this is in the wrong section,

anyways my friend has recently switched his original minecraft server to a tekkit server, currently he is only one who can build/break blocks ect, i am unable to do so, so i guess its down to permissions that is the issue. we both are NOOBS lol and i was wondering if anyone could kindly help in linking or talking me through how this is done, the server is Bukkit if that helps in anyway

Your friend needs to ad you as a OP of the server. To do this, he needs to type in /op then your name in the server console

Also, see how close you are to spawn. That will often determine whether you can break blocks or not, if you're not OP.
