Technic 6 Launcher Problems

Hey everyone!

I'm having alot of trouble installing the technic pack with the new installer (I feel so stupid considering its supposed to be easy).

I posted some images of my main problems, and I'll outline the step-by-step I've been doing so that maybe you can point out something obvious.

I am running Windows 7 Home and just upgraded to Java 7.

Went and downloaded the Windows version of the technic updater from here http://technicpack.net/technic/

When it had saved, i executed that file. It brough up a little bar that would say "downloading Technic". It would get to 100% then close out.

I then found the file it made and clicked the Technic launcher program button (picture is attached).

When the program opens up, it looks kinda buggy, and when i chose technic pack to install and log in, it bugs out and says update failed (picture attatched).

This has really been frustrating me for the last few hours, so any help is appreciated.

By the Oh Noez! Our tumblr is down implies you have NO CONNECTION. However, the files and the feed are two different website. Both would not be down at the same time. Using my common sense calculator, I can tell you have no internet by either the new Java or the Windows Firewall. Make sure java.exe and javaw.exe have Firewall Exceptions. Simplest case it can be fixed by Right-Clicking "Run As Admin", or run by command line to see what type of error it spits out.

Also, go into that "logs" folder and copy and paste everything in the document that ends in "0", go to http://pastebin.com and paste it there, then post the link. It's a good first step toward getting help here.

It might also be useful information that my minecraft used to give me a connection error and couldn't update, and that I had to download this to get my minecraft working:

maybe it is a similar problem to my installer dilema?

jsut finished following both pieces of advice, didn't seem to make any difference. Has anyone looked into my postbin link to see what that says about the situation? I wish I was technically savy enough to know what the heck that is saying

The error you have indicates that it is unable to download the technic and minecraft files, it throws an unable to connect exception and runs out of retries. I thought it might me a problem with your java but it could also be a firewall or proxy problem. Not sure how to fix the latter, but try running with your firewall of as a test to see if that fixes the issue - otherwise I will try and post some more ideas tonight

Hey so I'm posting this from Safety Mode on my computer (to negate my antivirus and firewall) and was able to connect and runt the installer. However, after the installer is done, this white screen pops up (I attatched a picture). Not sure if this is supposed to be the game itself or not, and I'm about to hop over to regular windows to see if everything is working. Will update this post in a sec...

EDIT:

OK, so now i am able to log in with the technit launcher (because I updated everything through safety mode), but it is giving me the same white screen that I got on safety mode as soon as I logg in. I coulda sworn that I saw a thread around here mentioning this problem, but if anyone knows how to fix this new problem let me know. In the mean time, ill browse the forums and try to find that thread.

EDIT#2:

Annnnd its back to my original problem of whenever it tries to access the server it gives that original error. I've tried disabling my antivirus but the only way I can get it to work is to go through safety mode, so not sure what exactly is stopping it from accessing the servers.

IC2 config is not set up properly. Try deleting the Technicssp folder.
