Normally in other modpacks and a modded vanilla game, the igneous extruder from Thermal expansion, uses a very small amount of lava to create smoothstone. The cobblestone is free and doesnt use anything. But its not using up any lava at the moment to produce smoothstone either. Not sure if its a bug, or whether the config is set like that for a reason.
