Damn, tried that too. WHEN WILL THE FUCKING ADMINS RESPOND?????????

When they decide you're fun enough to make fun of you.

HELLO? ANY ONE CAN HELP US???

I can help the op, not you. You have a different problem.

@OP: the launcher can't connect to the internet. You either have to give java internet access or disable your antivirus/firewall for the launcher to load up properly.

I'm having this very same problem and my log says pretty much the same things yours says. :( And its really weird because I've been using the technic launcher for weeks now and this problem came out of nowhere. Have you managed to fix it?

I was fighting this issue for a few hours, and I found a solution that worked for me. Hopefully it will work for some others as well.

It appears to be an issue with how the launcher uses Java. I couldn't figure out any way to change things using the TechnicLauncher.exe, so I downloaded the TechnicLauncher.jar file. This file is available from the downloads page using the Linux link.

Wonder of wonders, I ran it and it worked.

If it doesn't work for you right off the bat, then at least you can run it using a specific java install and setting other parameters. Best of luck to everyone.

Follow-up: It turns out that the problem is with Java defaulting to IPv6 which is causing network connection issues. I've tried a variety of ways to fix this, but the most effective seems to be setting an environment variable to tell Java to use IPv4. You can do this by following these steps:

  1. Click start
  2. Right click on Compter and choose properties
  3. In the left column, click Advanced system settings
  4. Choose the Advanced tab
  5. Click the Environment Variables button
  6. Under System variables, click New
  7. Set Variable name to _JAVA_OPTIONS
  8. Set Variable value to -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
  9. Close all windows you've opened

Hope this helps resolve the problem. Good luck.
