Nina214 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 My mine craft keeps closing telling me I am out of memory try playing off line. I have the memory used setting in the launcher set to 1g. I am running windows 7 with a 2t hard drive with 16g of ram. Is this a bug or do I need to change a different setting, and how do you play off line ?
_Anjou_ Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 The render distance Far can take up a lot of memory, and causing your client to crash, if you have 32 bit Java. But I'll assume that you have 64 bit system, since you have windows 7. You can download 64 bit Java for 64 bit systems in order to increase your memory.
CanVox Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 If you have 16 gigs of ram in your system, then there's no reason you can't increase minecraft's launcher setting to 4Gb. If that's not showing up as an option, do as _Anjou_ says and install 64 bit java.
