Fresh downloaded server.zip error

I download the server 2.1.1 for smp and extract the tekkit folder into a folder on my desktop, I edit the config folder ip to my hamachi ip and save, run the launch.bat and get errors

Also sorry if there is a fix in a thread somewhere, I'm new..

-Launcher/pack Version:2.1.1 smp

-Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit

-Version of Java: Version 6 update 31 64 bit

-Description of Problem: I download the server 2.1.1 for smp and extrace the tekkit folder into a folder on my desktop, I edit the ip to my hamachi ip and save, run the launch.bat

It starts to give me "Aliasing material *** name : ----- stuff then it gives me errors..

My friend who I just showed the mods to made a server and works perfectly for him. He used the same download as me and just unzipped and ran the launch.bat

He even tried to dropbox his folder for me to see if it'll work that way, but it still gives me errors

I tried to re-install java for 32 and 64bit (because it said you need to install both if you use the switching different browsers) but didn't make a difference :/

Being new does not excuse not reading the title of a sticky. Look at this from your error log:

java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: net/minecraft/server/mod_IC2AdvancedMachines : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0

Now look at this sticky title:

You are a product of the human race, and you made a mistake. However, you didn't own up to your mistake, so I can only read your statement as you are calling yourself a mistake of a human being with respect to the human race, which is rather harsh. I'll accept that implicit apology on behalf of our community, that has to put up with hundreds of other mistakes (or, in your harsher words, mistakes of human beings) every day, so I'm glad you're able to understand people like termhn's frustration at having to put up with them.

Next time read thrice, post once and your longevity here will be long.

i know this sounds more stupid than it have to but i downloaded the server today and to be honest i can't get it to work... i would appreciate it if you guys could help me... my problem is the same as the guy who posted this i can't get it to work so i want to know 2 things as a start why do i get that problem? and what do you guys get when u press edit on your .bat file? because i am not sure about that is the right one hope i can get some help sorry my poor english and my stupidity but i am a complete idiot at this but i really want to learn :)

I get Notepad opening the .bat file. If you do not get that, you need to open Notepad first then open the .bat file.

Suggestions:

- Learn to separate thoughts into coherent sentences. Your knowledge of the English language (or lack thereof) isn't the problem here. Your laziness in the use of punctuation and capitalization, and in using numbers instead of words is what's wrong.

- Read the rest of the post, then look at the threads to which subsequent posters refer.

- Hint: Use Java 7, not Java 6.
