How can i pick up machines to place them to an other place without destroying them?

My Problem is hardly to discribe so if i destroy a generator i become a iron furnace but i want the furnace so .. how can i destroy a generator so i can get the generator ^^?

Right click on the machines with a Wrench. Make sure it's the one made out of Bronze or an Omniwrench, the others won't work.

There's a negative site by using an ordinary bronze wrench.

There is a small chance of breaking the component when using it... This is like 1/8.

I would prefer using an electric wrench instead, and then set it on loseless wrench mode. This will drain alot more power but you wont lose the machine your trying to take down :)
