ME Level Emitter Bug?

Hey folks, I've just begun playing around with the AE ME level emitters but I've noticed that if I try to lift/remove one that has been placed in the world the block is just destroyed. I haven't been able to find anyone else online reporting the same and from a cursory glance of the cfg there's nothing that should cause this kind of behaviour.

Is this intentional? If it is it's bloody annoying.
