Tekkit launcher won't open

So, ive ran into several problems with opening Java-ran applications. The Tekkit launcher being one of them. I have the newest java, uninstalled and re-installed more than id like to mention and done everything i can think of and still no success. And I found this out after buying minecraft initially. So, my question is, is there a way to download the technic launcher that isnt cracked and have it be in a jar form like techniclauncher.jar instead of having it be an application like it normally is from the website? I cant seem to run java applications but i can run .jar files fine. But if so, can you post a link please?

Windows = .exe

Mac + Linux = .jar

So just use one of the other download buttons
