Making a ModPack?! (Help... meee...)

Okay so I was trying to make a custom pack, so I could have some of my favorite mods on it. If someone could help me, that would be awesome! Also, I can't watch YouTube because of restrictions. Does it make a difference if the software is Windows or Mac? If you could leave step by step instructions and specify what software it is on, (Windows/Mac) that would be amazing!!
