Adding mods

Has anyone added any mods? I know it's already mod-packed but i wanted to add Optifine (obviously) and, more challenging, Harvestcraft. I got excited about using HC when i saw it on the rumoured modlist, then it isn't in the game. Would it be possible, with some config file changes maybe, for me to get that in there too?

I haven't had a go at personalizing Hexxit yet, so I don't know.

But I'm hazarding a guess in saying that you probably can.

I installed it just fine in the modpack.jar, ultra version D3. Haven't tried the newest version yet but I'll give it a go because I wanted to throw WorldEdit on there as well.

edit; I've noticed there are some incomatibilities with Optifine. The ladder issue being one... Hexxit runs fine on my PC without it, was trying because my little bro's laptop can barely handle vanilla Minecraft.
