can't play on online mode

hi. heres the problem each time i try to join hexxit it gives the option play in offline mode and if i click no it does nothing and im always connected to internet. can someone help me with this problem

I've had this problem before, seems silly but have you migrated your minecraft account? If so you have to use your email not you MC name.
