Plantenboy Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 So I created my own modpack, I think i did every thing right. I even made 3 different pack's, but all the same error when I want it to install. I give my pack the name: testlet, now here's the error: Error unzipping file for the following pack: Testlet Error unzipping file: C:UsersSanderAppDataRoaming.technictestletcachetestlet-1.0.zip Please consult the modpack author, or try to run the pack again. Thats it, is it just because there needs to be an update or is it something in the mod pack? If anyone knows how to solve this error, I would like to hear it. Thanks Sander. Quote
MalContentFL Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I don't know how to fix it, but I ran into the same problem with my Modpack Into The Heavens. I got the same error word by word. Quote
dwwojcik Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Did you use a dedicated software to create the archive or did you just use the Windows 7 add to zip feature. Quote
Plantenboy Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 Did you use a dedicated software to create the archive or did you just use the Windows 7 add to zip feature. I just use winrar and copy the files: bin, config, coremods, mods then add to archief. then i uploaded in dropbox. (maybe its dropbox why it wont work?) Quote

(maybe its dropbox why it wont work?) Ok, because Windows can sometimes put together bad Zips, so its a good thing to look out for. Dropbox is fine- that's what I use. Did you make sure to: share link -> get url -> paste -> change www. to dl.? Quote

Plantenboy Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 Hey dwwojcik thanks alot it finaly worked, I never thought about the link because it already says that it was good. but now I understand. Thanks for your help Greet -Sander Quote
dwwojcik Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 No problem. The link needs to be a direct one (What's the launcher going to do with a link to a web page with a download button? ) so that's very important. Quote
Bocaj1000 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Use Drop Box and upload your pack. Then hit the share link button and copy that address then do this: Replace the www with dl so it says https://dl.dropbox... Then at the end after (Your modpack name).zip add ?dl=1. The final web address should say- https://dl.dropbox.com/....../(Your modpack).zip?dl=1 Put that address in the modpack location on the Technic website. Quote
dwwojcik Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 His question was already answered. And the ?dl=1 is not required. I never use it, and Plantenboy didn't and it worked for him. Quote

dwwojcik Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Did you create a modpack.jar containing the version of forge you want? Another thing to check- If you did, is it in the right place? Once, I created a bin folder to put the modpack.jar into but I never dragged it in! derp. Quote

lukeb28 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 yes only now the mods wont install I think it is forge but I dont know why I install it correctly http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/luke’s-hopefully-comprehensive-modpack-making-guide.44197/#post-362891 Q: My modpack loads vannilla! What did I do wrong? A: There are a few things that could have happened: Most likely you did not link your pack from your host to the platform right. Make sure that if you go to the link in your Internet browser it downloads your pack without having to press any butons on screen or otherwise. You compressed the folder that bin, mods, coremods, and config was in insted of copressing them themselfs. Your modpack.jar was made or named incorrectialy. Re-make it or just take a copy from someone elses pack replacing the old one. Quote
