Can't log into server after chagning my skin on the minecraft website

Hi guys I am new to this website and been playing minecraft for a while now.

I recently started a Tekkit server and my gf and I have been playing on it for a few days (we are both in different areas) and this morning I changed my character skin on the minecraft website, since doing so I am unable to log into my server, it keeps saying "took too long to log in" then my Technic launcher crashes.

Everything has been fine untill I changed my skin, can anyone help me or understand whats going on?

Edit~ Other ppl can connect to my server with no problems, I am getting "internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset" message when trying to connect.

This does not make sense to me why others can join my server on my PC but I cannot any more :(

The Minecraft authentication server (server that makes sure you have bought Minecraft) is down right now. No one can mostly login to any server right now.
