Public Solder?

Hi,

I would like to know if there is interest for a public solder setup for the Community. (i have a VPS with 10gb of diskspace and enough resoure's to host it). we might be able to do something like:

If a mod maker allows their mod to be uploaded to this, It's avaible for use in Modpacks that are on the platform. This way it's easier to make modpacks with the Solder Features

Everybody that's interested in testing (for secuirity purposes) pm me at the forums and i will give you the information you need. When the tests go well i will make another post with All the information about the Solder Setup.

the idea actually is ok.. but the permissions system isnt complex enough to make such kind of project possible

everyone can edit every modpack, there is no modpack limit.

most likely there will be many trolls spamming your solder with bullshit

I'd like to try to make something like this, may take me a while to recode portions to add some more permissions:P

Seems like solder has had plans for it as there is a field in the mysql database called modpacks under the solder_user_permissions table

you actually can add permission for a single modpack once it's created, just check permission after you done so
