Hexxit Lags like a server?

I know this is in the wrong place but it won't let me post in the bugs. OK, i was in a swamp biome. I looked at my mini map and saw a grey square. I went over to it and it was a tunnel going under ground. There were chest there and i clicked on one. It didnt open. I then broke the chest and nothing came out of it. I then went back to the main menu. It stop responding at "Stopping intel server". I tried again. Same thing happens.
