Battle Towers destroyed my base

After I died and respawned back there were two battle towers on my base and all my items were scattered everywhere. I think something very wrong has happened.

Did you have any items from Secret Rooms (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/546192-1521v460secretroomsmodsmpforge-hidden-trapped-chests/) in your base? Was there a Twilight Portal nearby?

Only a hidden door, and two trapdoors, and had a Twilight and Nether Portal nearby, but my base was a giant tree that I found and deactivated the traps in it.

it's a known issue that Secret Rooms seems to be the cause of Battle Towers spawning in existing locations, so it's not about traps so much as just some strange world regen issues.

EDIT: just to be safe, let me rephrase that to "there is strong evidence to suggest a connection..." that's the only connection I've seen up to this point for that Battle Tower problem.

well that sucks cause I lost my base and all the items I had in it, I've had that tree since I started that world and now its gone

I hear you -- I know it's a little late, but I've gotten in the habit of running the SimpleBackup plugin just in case. (First I install MCPC-Plus for MC 1.5.2)
