How to reduce lag?

Hi, I can play vanilla minecraft with no lag at all but once i started hexxit I get alot of lag, i turned all of my graphic settings down/off i have it allocated 2gb of ram and permagen size in checked. i get 40 fps when sitting still but once i move im lucky to get 20.

pc specs:

AMD A8-3520m apu overclocked to 2.4

6gb ddr3

64bit win 7

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Turning VSync off helps. I also have light smoothing off.

Lowering your render distance helps greatly, sticking with fast graphics is good (but you already did that)

I'd maybe allocate 4G of ram instead of 2. Do you have advanced openGL enabled?

I have both of those off they did help, but not enough.

I left the ram at 2 I over looked openGL and had it off, with it on now i get 70+ fps with short render distance. Thanks for the reminder

You're welcome. I find the extra ram helps, but maybe that's just me.

In <user>/AppData/Roaming/.technic/hexxit/config/InfernalMobs.cfg set B:useSimpleEntityClassnames=true. With non-simple classnames there are internal burst crashes. Here's an example.

That would be less fun, yes.

Are you asking for help with making the lag stop? Or are you just telling us you have a lot of lag?
