Every time I try playing on Tekkit Classic, there seems to be a lot of things wrong with the textures. Even with Sphax, there are lots of problems. Blocks don't look right and every mob looks completely wrong.

I'm running just Tekkit Classic from the Technic launcher, unpatched, and am not sure what patches could fix this. Anyone have any suggestions?

More information:

I'm using a computer that has Ubuntu 12.04, 4 GB of ram, and a Core i3 processor. I'm not sure if any of that will help with the situation, but it might.

Well, he did say even with sphax, which would imply that the problem is the same without it.

But usually when you get rid of Sphax the textures don't stick around. Notice the vanilla landscape but that sole Sphax sheep

I'm sorry for all the double posts, but I wanted to post an update. Plus, I can't edit my previous posts for some reason.

I just tried resetting my Tekkit Classic, and it didn't do anything.

bump. i also have this error, playing tekkit classic... blocks look as they should, but the player (Steve) is totally wasted! lol, he's missing his body and right hand... so i can see only his head, left hand and legs. sometimes i see creepers with totally invisible upper part, only the lower part with fragments of terrain.png... forge error logs are all good. the only noticeable thing is that it couldn't find the logos of some mods.
