Launcher/pack Version: 0.5.4.9

Operating System: Windows 7 (64 bit)

Version of Java: 7(64 bit)

Description of Problem:I am having a sickly low FPS when playing ANY of the modpacks even when choosing

the Vanilla pack. The really strange part is that i'm not running out of memory as it only uses 30% of the ram allocated and allocating more/less then the 2gigs already feed it do not help.

Even in the Vanilla pack i get like 6-20 fps and its with all graphic to the lowest and normal minecraft with all the graphic set to max easily plays 60-100FPS with only 1 gig allocated.

My machine is a 6gig DDR3 ram, i7 2 GHz, and 1gig of GPU with an effective overglock of 2 gigs so spec wise i should be fine (all drivers up to date).

Error Messages: N/A

Really hope anyone can help me with this ^^*

If i missed some important info in the rush please just say and i will try and provide it =3

And i hope this is the right forum to post in if not i'm so sorry please

just move it or something like that =3

Um. Allocating a low amount of memory (1 or 2 gbs) in the options menu actually will help, I think. Also, you can turn IC2 sounds of in it's config file if you have a lot of machines, the sounds produce a lot of lag...

And lowering the ram don't change anything as i wrote but thanks for the try man ^^

Hoping to at least understand why it acts so weird =S

OK I think the launcher might be trying to use 32 bit java even though I have 64 installed as well. when I run Minecraft with the normal launcher it does not show the 32 bit java with far render distance waring. but when I run vanilla mode with the launcher it does.

how do I make it use 64-bit java?

Yea I been having the FPS issues too recently, but I think I have a little background to mine...

I have a monster of a build in my game but even with all the wiring off and me just spawning, 30 min in its still only going at 11 FPS with everything set to minimum.

(I foresee people questioning my computer

8GB ram

i7 620M 2.66 GHz

ATI 5650 upto 2746 MB

HDD 5400 RPM (soon to be 750 HHD (hybrid hard drive) 7500RPM ))

If you ever found a solution to this I'd love to hear it.

Also as previously mentioned it is a monster of a map with over 400 wireless redstone connections that are DISABLED on spawn until manually turned on, so I would expect lag once i did turn them on.
