Tekkit server issues

I've set up a Tekkit server, but I am having some issues. I am using the latest version of Tekkit and the Tekkit server. On the server, every non-vanilla item placed appears briefly, then vanishes. I have redownloaded Forge for the server, but to no avail. If someone could tell me what's wrong with it, that would be great.

You have a two part problem. You do need to run Tekkit.jar which is probably why the non-vanila blocks vanish. Second due to the URL for the two above files having changed since Tekkit 1.1.8 has been released you have to download and name the files manually. Read this thread for links.

I have followed your instructions, and everything seems to be working OK now. Thanks for the help!
