Please delete this thread. The issue is apparent. Also, whoever sees this, stop making new threads about this issue. It is known in the community, and it is a very bad bug with the new launcher.

Same exact problem with me. Except it happens with single player. My technic launcher reset itself, deleted my Single Player Commands that I added to tekkit, and the launcher stays open when I launch tekkit. I have no idea what's going on but I'm in the same boat as you. Anybody have any ideas?

I posted a bug similar to this too. If it's happening everywhere, it could be a bug associated with an update maybe? Gods knows.

Exactly what it is. When the launcher updated, it "murdered" Tekkit Classic. They need to fess up to their mistake, and revert it back till it's ready to be updated.

It was some sort of automatic update, the launcher downloads a small file and your stuffed, the players on my server have dropped like flies and it's affecting every OS.

Yep. Now, we just need to find a way to revert back to the old launcher and have it NOT update...

Yeah, this is REALLY pissing me off. I'm also noticing one other "symptom" of this shit outbreak: The icon for the Tekkit classic window isn't the Tekkit logo, it's a crafting table, the same logo for Vanilla Minecraft.

I have found a work around to use tekkit classic from the folks over at stormsiegemc.com. You can open tekkit classic and press f11 to enter full screen mode. As long as you do not leave full screen you will be able to log onto multiplayer servers and not crash. I am giving them a vote as a thank you.

All you need to do is Copy the tekkit folder from %appdata%\.technic\modpacks\ to %appdata%\.techniclauncher\
