PrimalPhantom Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Sorry if this is in the wrong area of the forms. I'm trying to set up a Tekkit server on linux. I'm new to running a Tekkit server and I want to install some plugins like permissions ex but I don't have a plugins folder. The server version 1.1.10. If someone can give me a step by step guide I would really appreciate it. By the way this is a fresh install of the server files. Quote
phazeonphoenix Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Out of the box, the Tekkit server package only supports Forge based mods not Bukkit based plugins. Fortunately you can use MCPC+ for 1.5.2 to enable bukkit plugins. Simply download the forge jar file and replace the Tekkit.jar file in the server root directory and (continue to) use launch.bat or launch.sh to run the server. It will create the plugins folder on first launch. Quote
PrimalPhantom Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 If I replace the tekkit jar, will I still have the blocks from tekkit? Quote
dwwojcik Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Yes. Tekkit.jar is named after the modpack, not the mods contained within the file itself. Tekkit.jar is the equivalent of modpack.jar for the client, it only contains forge, which MCPC+ includes. Quote
