Tekkit update?

I haven't played tekkit in a while, but when I came back and noticed there was galactica craft I got super excited. Then I realized that my favorite mod was taken out, Industrial Craft 2. I was wondering why this was done? I don't know if it was having issues with other mods or if IC2 and galactica craft will never meet?

This has been extensively covered in this forum -- rather than rehash it, I encourage you to do a search for the discussion. And you may try the wiki for ideas on how to approach the new mix of mods.

In short IC2 is outdated. It is based on an old version of minecraft and it is not kept current.

Most likely those two mods will never meet. Thermal expansion does many similar things with similar machines and you don't have to convert power for buildcraft machines.
