Thraex Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Hello, I'm new to Minecraft.. All I want is to play either tekkit or tekkit classic with sphax texture pack. is it possible, and where do i find the things i need. I have Sphax pureDBcraft 1.7, I tried downloading tekkit smp latest 1.6 and copying it's content to Sphax pureDBcraft 1.7, then dropping it in texture packs, but it doesn't work for neither tekkit or tekkit classic. I'm so noob, please help.
Thraex Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 his tekkit texture pack link doesnt work, and it's 8 months old, is it the same version?
Thraex Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 Okay, if anyone else is wondering which versions to get, I got it to work with.. EDIT: "Sphax PureBDcraft 128x128 for MC1.4.7 MC1.2.5" at http://bdcraft.net/purebdcraft-minecraft and "Tekkit Classic Patch - 128x" at http://bdcraft.net/patch-details?i=6-Tekkit Classic Fixed: thanks dwwojcik
dwwojcik Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 Tekkit Classic runs on Minecraft 1.2.5, so you should use the PureBDCraft version for the corresponding version of the game.

Thanks, just downloaded 1.2.5 instead, works great so far, was exactly the post i was looking for, because I knew i was copying things to the correct place etc. but I didn't know which version to get. I had tried 1.2.5 earlier, but I kept renaming my zip before putting it into the texture folder, and this made it "grey" in the texture pack selection menu in-game... So knowing that 1.2.5 is the right one, made me realize it probably had something to do with the renaming. The 1 time i didn't rename was with 1.4.7... it did work, but zombies were missing their bodies. lol Thanks for your help.
dwwojcik Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 No problem, I expect 1.4.7 mostly worked because they use the same format. 1.7 definitely would have never worked because the Texture pack format changed radically- twice- between 1.2.5 and 1.7.
