Launcher states that minecraft has crashed

Launcher Version: 3.0.0.365

Operating System: windows 7 64 bit

Java Version: 1.7

Antivirus Program: Norton Internet Security

Description of Problem:

when i click on launcher it goes through to the FML and when it gets to validating minecraft it doesnt do anything but go to the mojang screen and sits for a while then shows the message that MINECRAFT HAS CRASHED!!!!

Why cant I download the game I purchased so I can play it off line like I could with vanilla minecraft. I really do any on line gaming and would like to be able to play HEXXIT off line. This would avoid the entire LAUNCHER issue for me. Thanks.

Do you have the latest update to your java 7?

Have you tried disabling your antivirus? Norton is notorious for screwing with Technic Launcher.

If those 2 options doesn't work... Delete the .technic folder - Remember to backup your saves! - and the launcher will redownload everything, try again.
