Dredphyre Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 So I have tried searching this site and over the intertubes and cannot find an answer for this. Tekkit runs fine without Biomes-o-plenty (hereafter BoP). But after installing BoP, and launching Tekkit, it goes the Mojang screen, then that window turns white after a few minutes, never to launch. I remove BoP and Tekkit returns to its glorious self. Help? Here's how I've been told to install BoP. Go to the usual app data/roaming/.../tekkitmain/mod folder. Drop zipped file into that folder along with the others already there like Dimensional Doors, mystcraft, etc. Relaunch game. That doesn't seem to work. I'm running latest Tekkit launcher #365 and the BoP version I'm trying to install is the version for MC 1.5.2. Also using Sphax 128 texture pack. As a side note, I'd been playing classic Technic for a few years, nary an issue. Still play it. Thought I'd give FtB a shot over Thanksgiving...that was bad decision. Wasted two days trying to get FtB Unleashed stable and running, but it wouldn't work. Erroneous sounds, 5 to 10 minutes into game, it would crash from memory leak. Consumed nearly 8 gigs of ram. Then I came back to the new Tekkit, and zero problems (except with my desire to install BoP). Kudos to the Tekkit team for their QC work in ensuring good compatibility and stability with their mods. I thought this was a given with modpacks, but I guess not!
jakalth Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Did you download the universal or forge version of BOP, or did you accidentally download the vanilla installer version of it? The fact that it is a zip file makes me wonder this, although some forge versions are also zip files. Otherwise it's just a set of conflicts in the config file that are interfering with mods already in tekkit. Minecraft does not always say when there are conflicts...

I went with your hunch and pulled the BoP .jar out of my failed Feed the Beast install and put that into Tekkit rather than the .zip and it worked! I give you a thousand internets.
