Run modpack offline or on something other than the technic launcher?

My Mac OSX launcher has completely and utterly stopped working, and im not sure why. Im done trying to figure it out, but im wondering, is there a way to strictly run tekkit classic on its own? Incase it's the launcher that isnt agreeing with my computer, is there a way to run it kind of like normal minecraft, except with tekkit?

Install the pack's mods manually into a minecraft install.

I dont know how to mod, is there an easy way, or an easier way to do it than that?

Download MultiMC, create a new 1.2.5 instance, have it install Minecraft forge for you, copy the Tekkit Classic mods and configs.

If you need more detailed instructions, google it.

I have discovered that minecraft 1.2.5 is not working on my computer! I think that is most likely the problem, and i will sort that out. Thank you
