Trying to get the Technic Launcher to go through a proxy

I am trying to get the Technic Launcher to go through a proxy to bypass my school's Barracuda Web Filter, but it isn't authenticating the login when i enter this into the terminal:

mkdir usersldeangelolibraryapplication_supporttechnicrtemp

java -Dhttp.proxyHost=218.108.192.205 -Dhttp.proxyPort=845 -Xmx800m -jar '/Users/ldeangelo/Downloads/TechnicLauncher.jar'

It runs the launcher and creates the folder but it isn't authenticating for some reason. Can someone help? I am using a Macbook Air.
