MolecularPoncho Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Hello, Me and a friend created our own tekkit server, we downloaded hamachi and started playing, without any problems. We played a day and then, when I wanted to connect to the server again the next day I couldn't, however, he can connect to the server using the same IP as me (the server is hosted on his PC), Hamachi is turned on for both of us and we haven't changed any settings from yesterday, however, this time I cannot log on. I've quadruple checked that the IP address hasn't changed and it hasn't. Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong and how to fix it. Thanks in advance
TonyVS Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 why are people using hamachi, that is adding unesssary compications , just open the minecraft port on the router and connect like normal people do
weirleader Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 I'll admit that the same thought crossed my mind; however, being charitable, it occurs to me that there could be a lot of people out there without admin access to their routers (whether at school or perhaps on a parent's home network). For the OP -- you might want to search through the forums for Hamachi, as this question comes up a lot and the answer could already be in there somewhere.
