Shashra Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I've read each and every one of these complaints and have tried all the solutions. I cannot unzip things due to...you could say complications, and Minecraft 1.6.4 does not use the resource folder anymore, Minecraft 1.6.4 uses the assets folder to play sounds now. Well anyways due to this I cannot merge my resource folder with the technic modpack's resource folder. So now how can this be fixed without unzipping or merging the resource folders? F3+N does not work either.
TwoTails Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 start 1.6.4 in the default launcher and copy everything from: Windows: C:\Users\(USERNAME)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\assets\virtual\legacy to C:\Users\(USERNAME)\AppData\Roaming\.technic\assets Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/assets/virtual/legacy to ~/Library/Application SUpport/Technic/assets/ (I think that is where Technic is installed on Mac...)
KaziArmada Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Last I checked, I only have this problem on my 'Dummy Launcher' I use for testing multiple connection attempts to a server. Said dummy is a crack. The sound issue is because without proper authorization, your launcher can't connect to the Amazon Servers where minecraft now stores it's sound files...so, basically, buy the game and your problem will go away.
Mavlock Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I've got 4 people with the same issue and they all own their own accounts, so it's not just a dummy thing.
Shashra Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 · Hidden Hidden Yeah, I assumed It didn't load so I retyped what I said below...so Ignore this and move to the next one.
Shashra Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Alright thanks a ton! it's working now. You're a godsend, And a side note to Kazi, I bought the game, I'm not some scammer or moocher, I have owned it since late Alpha.
miniboxer Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Play the game. Sounds for minecraft download in the background, when you first install you won't have any. They will all be working after 10+ minutes of play.
