Optifine keeps crashing the game

Question

Title: Optifine keeps crashing the game

Version: 1_0_4

OS: Windows 7 (amd64) version 6.1

Java Version: Java 7 Update 40

Description of Problem:

I want to add optifine for a smoother gameplay and more FPS and I did exactly what all the guides and video tutorials said but the game crashes every time before it's at the mainmenu of minecraft and after I press the play button in the technic launcher.

I opened the hexxit file, opened the bin file, opened the modpack.jar with WinRar and dragged every file of OptiFine_1.5.2_HD_U_D5 into it. I tried everything but nothing worked.

Also, I tried to use other optifine versions but none of them worked, it always crashed, no matter if I delete the meta inf or not. I really hope someone can help me.

Are you sure this is all because Tinkers Construct sometimes interferes. I honestly don't know what to say. Try putting it in the mods folder instead of the jar. Tell me how it goes and give another error report because it may change.

Hope this helps : )

Tinkerer's construct and optifine are not compatible, period. In the future when modifying packs, do check to ensure compatibility between all involved mods, its all very slippery.

Perhaps I did something wrong, but I tried putting it in the mods folder instead of the .jar and nothing happened. The game started without any problems or error reports, but optifine wasn't active. Like I said it might be my fault as I'm absolutely clueless about modpack and yeah... :(

And surprisingly one of my friends has the same hexxit version and installed the exact same optifine version without any problems. Could I simply use his modpack.jar instead of mine or would that just cause more errors?
