0 Chefsbrian
Well yea, your running well over 45 versions behind on your java. Update java. For reference, you probably don't want 12gb of memory on it, Java is notorious for memory issues, and is likely wasting a good bit of that. 0 Purplemen101
I updated the java, and the lag only got worse. After reducing the ram, it was even worse again. It's like this on pretty much any modpack, but running LAN with my friends has no lag. However, vanilla minecraft has NO lag, and actually runs at very high speeds. 0 Chefsbrian
Vanilla minecraft also has relatively little content compared to mods, vanilla performance is a poor Indication ofa machines ability to handle modded version.
0 holymage!
If you got lots of lag but none in LAN then I would guess that your connection needs to improve, most Likely your upload speed. Remember that MC (especially for modded) requires a high CPU speed to process all the random nature and machines that come with it.
0 Purplemen101
What is a good upload speed? I figured mine is fine, seeing as it is 3 mb/s. And, if it matters, my download is 25 mb/s.
0 holymage!
That seems like a damn good connection to me... Perhaps the server isn't powerful enough.... Also, I am no expert. But there are always the obvious things to check
0 Purplemen101
That seems like a damn good connection to me... Perhaps the server isn't powerful enough.... Also, I am no expert. But there are always the obvious things to check I've re-downloaded it, put tons of RAM on it, made sure all my java stuff is up to date, restarted my computer, restarted my internet, I've even downloaded MCPC+ and made it bukkit, and tried many different anti-lag plugins. The "lag" is simply block lag, where we destroy it, and it comes back and needs to be redestroyed, or pops up for a second, and then drops the block.
