Evvz
Hey everyone, this is my first forum post on the Technic Forum. I am here to report an issue I've been experiencing with Hexxit, and probably the entire Technic launcher. Basically, as you read in the title, in order for me to launch Hexxit (or any other modpack for that matter) I need to launch with 768 MB or less memory. When I launch with 1 GB, it gives me this error: My computer has 8 GB of RAM, and when I launched Hexxit, the RAM being used in my computer was almost nothing. Also, I re-installed Java twice, along with deleting the (possibly) old version. The reason I want to launch Hexxit with 1 GB ram is because I want to use the Sphax resource pack, and it doesn't work with 768 MB, because Minecraft runs out of memory. I am very puzzled about why this is happening, and if anyone could give me some clues or tips that might be useful in fixing this, I would appreciate that very much! Thank you! ThePagan
Are you running 32 or 64 bit Java?

Evvz
Have you tried using more than 1 GB? In the launcher, it only allows me to use 1 GB: Thanks for helping by the way
ThePagan
Are you certain you have 64-bit java? That's one of the limitations of using 32-bit java is that you can only use a max of 1GB. I've only got 3gb on my computer and I get options in the launcher for 1.5 and 2 GB. Try grabbing the 64 bit version from http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp#win You might also try downloading it straight from Oracle here http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre7-downloads-1880261.html If you do indeed have 64-bit, I'm not quite sure what else the problem could be. Maybe give me some more information about your computer like the operating system.

I uninstalled my current version of Java, and replaced it with the link you sent me, and sure enough, it gives me options to launch Minecraft with as much as 7GB of RAM! I know I had 64 bit Java in the past, but I probably replaced it with 32 Bit by mistake when I was installing the newest version, because I always uninstall the old version. I tried launching it with 2GB just now, and the texture pack works good so far, so I can assume that the issue is resolved. I will bump if any problems regarding this arise, but for now it is working great. It turns out to be a silly mistake on my part. Thank you ThePagan for helping me!
