Directory question when adding a modpack

Alright I'm brand new here so I think I posted this in the right catagory but I'm not sure. Anyway while trying to install this modpack, instead of getting an "Add Modpack" button I get this:

saying it requires a directory outside of what I have. Anyone out there who think they can help will be greatly appreciated. P.S. Please let me know if there are any issues with the image.

that's because the maker of that pack is an idiot and made it not be alowed to install into .technic

I have tried it and, it doesn't work anyway.

The force directory change feature was added to bypass the DRM implementing mods out there that target users of modpacks based on the install directory. Like gregtech crashing the client if the word "technic" is anywhere in the install location.

I don't know whether it was needed or not in this case, but it's not just an anti-drm feature. It's also really nice if you want to install a pack to an external drive and carry the same install to multiple computers. Keeps your worlds close by.
