S3KSHUN8
I feel like this question was answered somewhere, but I seem to be missing it. After searching the Internet for some time, I can't seem to find it. I would like to install 1.6.4 Liteloader by Mumfrey, with MC Forge, onto a custom modpack for a server I plan to make, so that players would be able to use mods like macro/keybind. How would I go about doing this? I'm not very savvy when it comes to coding or scripting of any kind, so if I could be given the 'step-by-step for dummies' version, that would be preferable.. disconsented
Why do you want lite loader? Your normal forge installation includes forge mod loader

TwoTails
just put the edited version.json that liteloader comes with in the modpack.jar
S3KSHUN8
just put the edited version.json that liteloader comes with in the modpack.jar Liteloader doesn't have a version.json in it when extraced. I was told that essentially what I should need would be in the "Manual Installation" guide on the forum OP, but I'm a complete novice at anything to do with editing .jar or 'version' files, and when I tried to follow the directions it gave, when starting the pack, I got an error message the pack failed to launch. Here is my edited version.json in my attempt to follow the instructions on the OP: http://pastebin.com/zkQU94bv And here is the error report I receive: http://pastebin.com/SJgBb9UK Um... Okay... I feel like an absolute ignoramus. I simply had to add a comma after inserting the instructed lines into the Libraries array...
coryorth
Did you manage to get yours to work? I put my version.json into my modpack.jar yet it still wont recognize that liteloader is installed. Bare in mind i'm trying to get the same thing working as the OP. Yet I don't see any version.json that liteloader comes with considering from what I can tell it doesn't. It tells you to change entries in your own .json. Here is my version.json file. http://pastebin.com/D2KQHbdF I've added it to my modpack.jar file, but when in minecraft the hotkeys program doesn't come up within controls and minecraft doesn't recognize liteloader is even installed (To my knowledge). Any help would be appreciated . Edit: Found out the problem. Needed to replace the cascadedTweaks with tweakClass.
