0 TCMcookies Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Error unzipping a file for the following pack: Hexxit Error in opening zip file Please consult modpack authors Thats all it says?
0 Moderators Munaus Posted January 22, 2014 Moderators Posted January 22, 2014 When you are on the launcher window, click the Cog-Wheel button on the top right corner. A pop-up window will appear, click the log button. Post it between quote tags or paste it on pastebin.com and give us the link
0 Moderators Munaus Posted January 22, 2014 Moderators Posted January 22, 2014 Not all files, no! Just the recent one, the same day that gave you that error.
0 TCMcookies Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 I think this is the right one "15:30:41 [iNFO] SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit', url='null', icon_md5='4388ae980acb408cd1a2c0d67bcfa9c4', logo_md5='418def033519963168abd7a0d2189d36', background_md5='2312a540a6321bab77ffcc4a879a4abc', recommended='1.0.10', latest='1.0.10', builds=[1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, 1.0.9, 1.0.10], solder=net.technicpack.launchercore.restful.solder.Solder@64c89675} 2014/01/22 15:30:41 [iNFO] SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit', url='null', icon_md5='4388ae980acb408cd1a2c0d67bcfa9c4', logo_md5='418def033519963168abd7a0d2189d36', background_md5='2312a540a6321bab77ffcc4a879a4abc', recommended='1.0.10', latest='1.0.10', builds=[1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, 1.0.9, 1.0.10], solder=net.technicpack.launchercore.restful.solder.Solder@64c89675} 2014/01/22 15:30:41 [iNFO] SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit', url='null', icon_md5='4388ae980acb408cd1a2c0d67bcfa9c4', logo_md5='418def033519963168abd7a0d2189d36', background_md5='2312a540a6321bab77ffcc4a879a4abc', recommended='1.0.10', latest='1.0.10', builds=[1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, 1.0.9, 1.0.10], solder=net.technicpack.launchercore.restful.solder.Solder@64c89675} 2014/01/22 15:30:41 [iNFO] SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit', url='null', icon_md5='4388ae980acb408cd1a2c0d67bcfa9c4', logo_md5='418def033519963168abd7a0d2189d36', background_md5='2312a540a6321bab77ffcc4a879a4abc', recommended='1.0.10', latest='1.0.10', builds=[1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, 1.0.9, 1.0.10], solder=net.technicpack.launchercore.restful.solder.Solder@64c89675} 2014/01/22 15:30:41 [iNFO] SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit', url='null', icon_md5='4388ae980acb408cd1a2c0d67bcfa9c4', logo_md5='418def033519963168abd7a0d2189d36', background_md5='2312a540a6321bab77ffcc4a879a4abc', recommended='1.0.10', latest='1.0.10', builds=[1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, 1.0.9, 1.0.10], solder=net.technicpack.launchercore.restful.solder.Solder@64c89675} 2014/01/22 15:30:41 [iNFO] SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit', url='null', icon_md5='4388ae980acb408cd1a2c0d67bcfa9c4', logo_md5='418def033519963168abd7a0d2189d36', background_md5='2312a540a6321bab77ffcc4a879a4abc', recommended='1.0.10', latest='1.0.10', builds=[1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, 1.0.9, 1.0.10], solder=net.technicpack.launchercore.restful.solder.Solder@64c89675} 2014/01/22 15:30:41 [iNFO] SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit', url='null', icon_md5='4388ae980acb408cd1a2c0d67bcfa9c4', logo_md5='418def033519963168abd7a0d2189d36', background_md5='2312a540a6321bab77ffcc4a879a4abc', recommended='1.0.10', latest='1.0.10', builds=[1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, 1.0.9, 1.0.10], solder=net.technicpack.launchercore.restful.solder.Solder@64c89675} 2014/01/22 15:44:06 [iNFO] Maximum usable memory detected: 7365 mb"
0 TCMcookies Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 other than that theres nothing but my other tekkit lite stuff
0 Moderators Munaus Posted January 23, 2014 Moderators Posted January 23, 2014 That's not the full log. Try the modpack again, after it crashes go to the log folder and copy paste the latest file, copy the content between quote tags like this, makes for much easier reading
0 TCMcookies Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 how bout this I will do it tomorrow that way its only the crash log in the folder? ive played a couple other packs on technic today other than that so its all mixed and stuff lol check this forum tomorrow :)
0 TCMcookies Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 alright here it is, this is ALL of todays log and all ive done is try to open hexxit once. "2014/01/23 16:30:04 [iNFO] Maximum usable memory detected: 7365 mb 2014/01/23 16:30:29 [iNFO] InstalledPack{info=SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit', url='null', icon_md5='4388ae980acb408cd1a2c0d67bcfa9c4', logo_md5='418def033519963168abd7a0d2189d36', background_md5='2312a540a6321bab77ffcc4a879a4abc', recommended='1.0.10', latest='1.0.10', builds=[1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 1.0.5, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, 1.0.9, 1.0.10], solder=net.technicpack.launchercore.restful.solder.Solder@453e22ee}, name='hexxit', platform=false, build='latest', directory='%MODPACKS%\hexxit'} 2014/01/23 16:30:36 [iNFO] Maximum usable memory detected: 7365 mb"
0 Moderators Munaus Posted January 24, 2014 Moderators Posted January 24, 2014 That log is as useless as the last. It's not even showing any error. What antivirus do you have installed?
0 TCMcookies Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 Well i had norton, but i have deleted it, hoping it would help, but nothing changed :(
0 Moderators Munaus Posted January 24, 2014 Moderators Posted January 24, 2014 How much RAM did you allocate to the launcher? What bits is your OS and Java, 32 or 64?
0 TCMcookies Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 90 percent sure my java is 64 bit, amd if the ram is gigabites allocated, then 7.
0 Moderators Munaus Posted January 24, 2014 Moderators Posted January 24, 2014 Hold on. You allocated 7 gigabyte of RAM to Technic Launcher? And what is the rest of your computer gonna use? It needs working memory aswell... Drag it down to 2gig, try the modpack now
0 TCMcookies Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 no difference when i do all that. I tried ever option of memory, and nothing has changed.
0 Moderators Munaus Posted January 24, 2014 Moderators Posted January 24, 2014 When you said you deleted Norton, you meant you uninstalled it? Do you have a firewall installed? So if the files wont download, does that mean you have nothing inside %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic or .techniclauncher folders?
0 TCMcookies Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 Yes i uninstalled it. No firewall, and inside the folders appdata -> roaming -> .technic -> modpacks -> (tekkitmain, Voltz, bigdig) There is Bin, Cache, Config, Coremods, lib, Mods, Resources, saves. All of which are empty.
0 Moderators Munaus Posted January 25, 2014 Moderators Posted January 25, 2014 I have The Same Problem To Are you telling me you're living with TCMcookies and use his computer? Make your own bug thread, I can't help someone who just jumps in here with "same problem too".
0 TCMcookies Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 I Completely reset my computer to factory settings, and it seems as if a path was missing for some reason
