Every time i try to load up tekkit classic or any mod pack, i get a message saying can't connect?

Try disabling your antivirus and right-click your launcher and choose "Run as admin".

I tried that, and i still get this message:

Error downloading file for the following pack: Tekkit Classic

Failed to download http://resources.download.minecraft.net/ad/ad126e435cca94054bf0d616301799a105526cde

Please consult the modpack author.

Thats all I'm getting and I have no idea what to do, I've tried deleting the folder and re installing several times, with no luck!

Any firewall installed? You might have to make the launcher an exception so it wont block it from connecting to the internet

I'm having this exact same problem - tried to launch it as administrator but it didn't change anything and i've uninstalled/reinstalled it without any success. If anyone could offer up a solution to this that would be great?! Thanks
