Forced Memory at 1 gig

Description of Problem:

Being forced to allocated 256 MB to 1 gig for minecrafts memory. I'v used technic for awhile, this is the first time i'v not been able to increase my ram so I am able to run mods.

How much RAM could you allocate to your launcher, 256MB or 1gig?

And how much RAM do you have in your PC?

I have the default 1 gig on the launcher since the drop down won't go any higher. I also have 16 gigs of ram on my computer

Ah, good. I was a bit confused at your original post.

This means that you are running a 32-bit java. Uninstall it and get a java 7 upgrade 51 that is 64-bit.
