Launcher Version: 390

Operating System: Windows 8 most recent

Java Version: JRE windows x64

Antivirus Program: Windows Firewall

Description of Problem:

After running the technic launcher all the modpacks are offline and replaced with the add new pack img. None of the modpacks work.

Error Messages:

Launcher Version: Most recent

Post launcher build, we need to know the numbers it's showing

Error log is always created.

Try adding a modpack from Platform, after the download fails go to the Cog-Wheel button on your top right corner of the launcher window and you'll see the "Log"- button

Post the log inside quote tags or on pastebin.com

Posting triple bug threads is not advised. Either respond here or don't ask for help when help is given...

Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Address family not supported by protocol family: connect

A common error

Get your command window up and paste this line there

setx _JAVA_OPTIONS -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true

Munaus, I have seen your post on a few threads, coming from a mild noob, how do I open the command window in technic?

Not technic.

Click Start. Type cmd on your search bar.

You should see the Command window by now. If your OS is windows. I don't know about Mac

Make sure you actually have the error shown on this thread and others I have posted on. That command line is not some magical abra-ka-dabra, if your error is different then this command line will do nothing for you
