Description of Problem:

Today I downloaded the launcher for Technic. I want to go play Tekkit Classic with my friends. I tried to play the game and it loads a bunch of things, but then an error message comes up, and I can't play it. This happens to everything in the launcher

Disabling your AV should fix it. Otherwise uninstall Kaspersky

I already tried disabling Kaspersky, and it didn't work. Uninstalling it wouldn't do anything if it's already disabled.. Plus, it's paid software. Don't want to waste money.

The newest one. I just updated it and tried before I made this thread.

Paying antivirus is silly when you can have one for free. MSE and Avast are freely downloadable AV's.

There is no "newest" upgrade. Please post a number.

There is another way to fix this, if disabling the antivirus doesn't solve it... Try downloading one pack from the Platform, after that fails post the error log. This will tell me why it blocks the launcher

Got the sulution, its just disablr global protecton on kaspersky download and active again.

I had the same problem. I tried Swinter's solution but it didnt work for me. but i found a solution that may work. If you unplug your router or turn of your internet and then open technic launcher in offline mode my mods that i had already loaded opened perfectly. the only downside is your cant use servers as far as i can tell. hope this works for you.

UPDATE: after doing what i said above everything even with the internet on was magically fixed!
