Launcher Version: newest from site ( don't know the exact version, can't find it)

Operating System: windows 7

Java Version: 6 ( for some reason I cant update to 7)

Antivirus Program: none

Description of Problem:

when I try to play hexxit it has a error opening the files for the modpack.

Error Messages:

error unzipping a file for the following pack:Hexxit

error opening zip file

please consult the modpack author

Caused by: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

Get your command window up and copy this line and paste it

setx _JAVA_OPTIONS -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true

Edit. You can't update 6 to 7. Uninstall 6 and download the latest java 7 upgrade 51

Make sure to get the proper java installed before doing that command line
