How to disable mods on a server?

I'm hosting a server and how would I disable one of the mods that come with the modpack on the server still allowing the client to join? I've been looking for a modloader config file which I read about somewhere but I couldn't find any.... So how do I disable/remove a mod from my server?

Its as simple as it gets. Just remove the mod from your server mods folder.

 

NOTE: this will only work if the mod that you removed didnt change any vanilla id's

Alright, thanks! I thought that would screw up for the client but I guess I was wrong

just make sure you don't do that with chisel
