Need Help Desperately!

I'm having problems on the "Downloading Native LWJGL Files" stage but when I go to look at my log it says I need to open it with something. I click on the web help and it says it don't recognise that sort of file. I don't even know where to start with what to open with. I am on a windows 7 laptop. Anybody Help?

If Downloading Native LWJGL files is supposed to take a long while, can you say so, since its been doing it for 20 mins

Just open the log file with any old text editor (preferably something better than plain notepad but I assume it will work anyway). The "check the web for help" option is generally utterly useless, use the other option and pick your preferred text editor.
